—Reader POV—
“We need to find you a handmaid,” Raymond grumbled from behind you as you slowly pinned on your wimple. He was particularly prickly this morning in anticipation of the Beltaine festival and all the visiting lords, which was not even slightly helping your nerves. The next thing you knew, Raymond was immediately behind you, taking the pins from your hand and finishing your head covering quickly.
“Why do I need a handmaid when I have you?” You joked.

Here I am, trawling the city, ever the good soldier in search of a wastrel who’s never taken half an interest in his birthright.
Hey there. so it’s been a while - if you’re still here, I’d like to update you on my fic “If Wishes Came True” (on AO3 by starlight_way).
I’ve started reworking the previous chapters, fixing spelling mistakes, plot holes etc. I know that my fic isn’t exactly what you’d call “eclectic reading”, but hey- no harm in improving it.
I expect the updated chapters will start rolling in the next few days, and hopefully, if inspiration strikes, the continuation of the story.
Besides all this and my personal struggles, my hard drive was damaged and I lost all of my half-finished chapters and drafts. Whatever I have left is whatever I have already posted in AO3, which is kinda sad for me.
And now, a question for you. How would you like me to handle the updated version (provided that you still care enough to read it)? Should I just update my already existing fic, or should I start a clean slate and hope that people read it?
